Cross Your Arts Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Cross Your Arts collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit www.crossyourarts.com, create an account, browse or buy products, apply to sell, list or sell products, contact us, or otherwise use our marketplace and related services (the “Services”). In this policy, “Cross Your Arts,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Cross Your Arts LLC. “You” means a visitor, buyer, seller, applicant, or other person who interacts with the Services.

Cross Your Arts is a marketplace where independent sellers offer products to buyers. We use information to operate the marketplace, process orders, help buyers and sellers communicate, provide customer support, protect the Services, and meet legal obligations. Some information must be shared with a seller or service provider to complete an order or provide a feature you request.

This policy does not describe how an independent seller, payment provider, shipping carrier, or other third party uses information under its own privacy policy. Please review those policies when appropriate. Sellers may have separate legal obligations for information they receive through the marketplace.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, account login details, billing and shipping addresses, order details, seller business information, tax or identity verification details requested during seller onboarding, product listings, messages, reviews, support requests, and information you choose to include in a form or communication. Do not send payment card numbers or sensitive personal information in marketplace messages.

Order and payment information. We receive information about items purchased, prices, shipping selections, order status, refunds, and payment status. Payment card and bank details are collected and processed by the payment provider used at checkout. We may receive limited payment information such as a payment token, card brand, last four digits, transaction status, or payout details needed to administer the marketplace. We do not intend to store full payment card numbers or security codes on our own systems.

Seller and transaction information. If you apply to sell or sell through Cross Your Arts, we may collect business and contact details, store and product information, payout and tax information, customer service and fulfillment details, and information needed to review applications, administer commissions, resolve disputes, or comply with law.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we and our service providers may collect device and browser details, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, pages and products viewed, referral source, dates and times of access, clicks, search activity, and information about your use of the Services. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, cart and checkout functionality, payment processing, fraud prevention, and security. Browser storage supports cart and checkout functions. No Google Analytics 4 or Plausible Analytics is configured on the reviewed site. Stripe may use analytics cookies in certain U.S. contexts. We do not currently use advertising or retargeting pixels.

Information from others. We may receive information from payment processors, identity or fraud-prevention services, shipping carriers, sellers involved in your order, and other service providers. We may also receive information from public sources or from a person acting on your behalf.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to create and manage accounts; review seller applications; display shops, products, reviews, and seller profiles; operate search, messaging, checkout, orders, refunds, and payouts; calculate marketplace commissions; arrange shipping and provide tracking; answer questions and resolve disputes; send order, account, security, and policy communications; and provide customer and seller support.

We also use information to maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services; understand site performance and marketplace activity; detect or investigate fraud, abuse, prohibited activity, or security incidents; enforce our terms, seller rules, and other agreements; comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory requirements; and protect the rights, safety, and property of Cross Your Arts, users, and others.

We may send promotional email or other marketing communications where permitted. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We may still send transactional, security, and other service-related messages.

How We Share Information

With sellers. Sellers can see a buyer’s display name, order details, delivery recipient’s name and address, phone number when provided, and messages exchanged with them. Message-notification emails may also contain the message text. A buyer’s account email is not normally shown to sellers unless the buyer shares it. Sellers may use this information to fulfill orders, provide customer service, and handle returns or disputes, subject to applicable law and the Seller Agreement. Sellers can save or copy information they receive, and access does not automatically expire after delivery. Please contact sellers through marketplace messaging where available and do not share unnecessary personal information.

With payment and marketplace service providers. We share information with providers that help operate the marketplace, including providers for marketplace hosting, payments and identity verification, shipping, location services, account sign-in, content management, and service emails. These providers process information as needed to provide their services and as described in their privacy notices and our agreements with them. Our current providers include Sharetribe, Render, Stripe, Shippo, SendGrid, Mapbox, Google, TinaCloud, and GitHub.

With shipping and delivery providers. We may share recipient name, delivery address, contact details, package details, and tracking or order information with sellers, shipping-label providers, carriers, and other delivery partners to fulfill orders and provide delivery updates.

For legal, safety, and business reasons. We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a government request; enforce our agreements; investigate suspected fraud or security issues; protect users or the public; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law and any required notices.

At your direction or with your consent. We may share information in other ways when you ask us to or consent to the sharing.

We do not share personal information with sellers for unrelated direct marketing. Sellers may retain or copy information they receive to fulfill orders and handle related customer service, returns, disputes, and legal obligations, as described above.

Public Profiles, Listings, and Messages

Some information you choose to display may be visible to the public, including a seller or shop name, profile information, products, listings, reviews, and seller responses. Do not include information in a public profile, product listing, review, or message that you want to keep private.

Messages sent through the marketplace may be accessible to the people in the conversation and to authorized Cross Your Arts personnel or service providers who need access to provide support, enforce our policies, or protect the Services. We may retain messages as described below.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to support sign-in, cart and checkout, payment processing, fraud prevention, security, and other site functions. The technologies used may depend on the services enabled. Browser settings can be used to manage cookies, although some site features may not work properly if they are blocked.

Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Account information and deletion. You may review or update some information in your account settings and may request correction or deletion by contacting contact@crossyourarts.com. Users can also delete accounts through account settings. Unfinished transactions or payment obligations may need to be resolved first. Account deletion requests removal of associated Stripe account or customer information, subject to Stripe’s restrictions. Deletion does not automatically erase messages, reviews, or every order-related record held across shipping, email, financial, and backup systems. We may retain information for accounting, disputes, security, and legal obligations.

Marketing. You can opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in the email. Opting out of marketing does not stop service or transaction messages.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live and whether applicable law covers our business, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may submit a request to contact@crossyourarts.com. We may need to verify your identity and may ask for information reasonably needed to process the request. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting us at contact@crossyourarts.com. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

We will provide privacy choices and honor browser-based opt-out signals when required by applicable law. Whether a “Your Privacy Choices” link or other opt-out mechanism is required depends on applicable law and our actual data practices.

Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating accounts and orders, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, protecting security, enforcing agreements, and complying with legal obligations. Some information may remain in messages, reviews, order-related records, service-provider systems, or backups after an account is deleted. Sellers may also retain information they receive for order fulfillment, customer service, returns, disputes, or legal obligations.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, service, or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident involving your information, we will provide notices as required by applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without legally required parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact contact@crossyourarts.com so we can review and take appropriate steps.

International Users and Transfers

Cross Your Arts is based in the United States, and information may be processed or stored in the United States and in other countries where our service providers, sellers, or carriers operate. When an order involves a seller or provider in another country, information needed to complete that order may be transferred across borders. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on the Services and update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use or share personal information, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
